Greener Kitchens |
|
At Omega Kitchens we recognise that our actions
today will very much affect our future. With this in mind we
are doing our best to reduce our carbon footprint, not only in
the kitchens we sell, but in the showroom we work from as
well.
Here are just some of the ways that we are
trying to be more environmentally friendly: |
| |
|
|
We are proud to use ‘The Kitchen
Recyclers’. A company that buys old unwanted kitchens and
appliances and recycles them, mostly into sheltered
accommodation and old people’s homes. |
| |
|
|
We try whenever possible to
promote A++ Rated appliances, which are more energy
efficient, use less power and will save the customer money. |
| |
|
|
We always recycle our office
paper, stamps and ink cartridges.
All our empty printer cartridges are sent to NBCS to be
recycled and support the charity. |
| |
|
|
We sell: |
|
| |
|
 |
Insinkerators which grind all
food waste into tiny particle so that it can be safely flushed
away, instead of being dumped in landfills where it creates
bacteria and other harmful organisms that can seep into the
ground and contaminate our water. |
| |
|
 |
Integrated Sorting Bins to make
divide and sort your rubbish, and so make recycling much
easier. |
| |
|
 |
Little Butlers that sit along
side your taps and dispense 98 degree filtered water
instantly. They are more energy efficient in most households
than boiling a kettle |
| |
|
 |
Induction Hobs that are 90%
energy efficient and automatically turn off when no pan is
placed on the hob. |
| |
|
 |
Triflow Taps that dispense cold
filtered water, so that you don’t need to buy mineral water in
plastic bottles. |
